Senior First Aid Training

The aim of the Senior First Aid course is to develop the participants’ ability and confidence in providing quality emergency First Aid. The course covers both adult and children’s conditions.

The Course runs over 1 day and is WorkCover NSW approved and accredited. It will cover both theoretical and practical elements, including:

    • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
    • Fractures and dislocations
    • Burns & scalds
    • Head, chest and spinal injuries
    • Fainting and unconsciousness
    • D.R.A.B.C.
    • Oxygen therapy awareness
    • Defibrillation awareness

Course Duration
6 hours – 8 hours with course information being completed by participant in their own time before attendance on day (around 4 hours out of class work).

Course Cost:
$110 per person. Discounts can be arranged for group bookings, over 5 people.

Course Requirements

Be at least 14 years of age by the last scheduled session of the course1 form of Photo ID is required to be shown on the day of course. Suitable ID includes:

  • Passport
  • Drivers License
  • NSW RTA Photo ID Card
  • Proof of Age Card

Validity
The Senior First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years after the completion date although it is recommended that CPR skills are refreshed annually.

Course Completion Requirements
Each attendee will need to actively take part in all practical activities and discussions throughout the course, and progressive assessment will take place for the duration. Attendance at all aspects of the course is compulsory, and a multiple-choice theory exam must be successfully completed before a certificate can be issued.

To be advised/arranged upon time of booking, or can be carried out on site to client's requirements.

NB:
Due to the practical components of the Senior First Aid course, casual attire is recommended for the comfort of our participants.
